Just a little update on Luke. Luke is still in the hospital...he might have a staff infection or mrsa...(mrsa is an infection someone can get from having surgery or a weaken immune system) If its just a staff infection he can go home with antibiotics...but if is mrsa he will have to go in a special room and get the ant...ibiotics through an IV. They will find out tomorrow if its a staff infection or mrsa..I will keep you up dated.

They started letting Luke eat on Friday. They said he can have what ever he wanted...well dont tell Lukey that LOL he will eat everything insight..his belly didnt handle it very well so he ended up vomiting.. If he can keep eating and keep it down..then he will be coming home soon..Lets pray its this wk!

Im srry I havent been keeping up with this blog..I have a few I have been doing..If you want the recent updates..if you have facebook..You can go there..His group name is Luke Jaxson Kirschman. Luke has been in the hospital the last two wks..He had to have another surgery this would make it his 14th surgery in his short 2 yrs of life..They had to go in and untwist his intestines and clean off alot of scar tissue..He will be there until he is able to eat and drink..I went to see him last sunday..He is doing alright but he is not very happy bc he isnt able to eat or drink yet..but other then that he is doing ok..

Some exciting news..Lukey is finally taken a couple of steps by himself! I dont think its going to be long before he walks by himself! Plus he got his very first hair cut!!

Well Luke is home! I think that the first time he has came home without having to stay! They are going to cut back on his TPN because he is getting to fat..and he cant walk by himself yet..and he is HEAVY LOL so thats good! But everything went good!

Lukey has to go to the hospital and have his broviac line fixed.
I will keep you updated how that went!

Little update on Luke. His liver counts have been a little off
so they have had a nurse come over everyday to take blood..Well he
had a Dr appointment today..and they are concerned about his
liver..So they are going to keep an eye on it. I will let you know
more when I get more updates..Just keep him in your prayers!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Lukey is HOME! YAY! He is
doing well..I got to see him last Saturday.I will post some new
pics from that day.

Onna is doing better..Thnk god it was nothing mature with
her..Now lets pray they both stay out of the hospital for a LONG
TIME!!

Thnks to everyone for the nice messages and prayers..Luke is doing much better..he has been pooping since last sunday...Which is awesome for Lukey..He has had to have 3 blood transfusions because they couldnt get his blood cell count up..its still a little low and his potassium is low but they are working try to figure out why they are low..he got out of the PICU yesterday..He was on all clear liquids and doing well now they are going to start trying solids..if he can eat without puking and still poop..he will be able to come home!

Have some bads news about my niece Breonna..Last April she had brain surgery to remove fluid off her brain..I think some of you might remember me telling you about her..Last night she was having a massive headache so my sister rushed her to the ER..they did a CT scan and found that the fluid is back..So she is on her way to Buffalo Childerns today..I will keep you up dated on that! So if you could send a extra prayer her way! Thank You..

Luke was in surgery for 7 hrs last night..The Dr said it was the worse surgery he has ever done..They had to fix a couple of rips (dont know why)..He had 2 hernias (sp)? And they didnt put the tube in his bladder because they said his kidneys looked really good..but they did put the tube in so he wouldnt get so bloated..They couldnt save part of his intestines that were out..They are going to keep the breathing tube in him until later today..and they put him in ICU..I will update when I get home from work.

A little update on Luke...He came home Tuesday going back
today...With his intestines being out..its causing lots of
problems..the stuff thats suppose be coming out into his bag..he is
puking instead...So they will be doing surgery on Friday..

Well they didnt do the surgery they want the rsv to be better before they do surgery...Lukes intestines keep coming out of his hole that he has for his colostomy bag..and they think its because he is coughing so hard...they said they should suck themselves back in but his isnt..then he pooped through his ileostomy bag which isnt even hooked to anything...but the dr said that it must because he must have a blockage..So they will be doing surgery in a couple of days..and they are going to be putting a tube in for him to be able to pee...because they dont want him to lose his kidney and I think they are going to be putting a tube in him so he doesnt get so bloated..hopefully they will take out the ileostomy bag..because he doesnt even use it..I let you know more when I hear more.

Luke has been back in the hospital since last Monday, he has RSV
and somethings going on with his intestines so they might be doing
surgery on him...they also might be putting in tube so he can pee
more and better..the blood test of his kindeys arent coming out so
good..Poor baby he has been through so much in his short time of
life...Please keep him in your prayers!!!

Hi Sorry its been so long! Well Luke went to Pittsburgh for a wk to get his evaluation to see if he was going to be put on the a transplant list. At first they said yes he would be stat 1 on the list..then they get more test and changed their minds...they basically said that his central line acsess is still good, his liver is doing well and he is still doing good w/the tpn so for now the are just going to keep an eye on his blood work and maybe switch some meds and until one of those 3 things goes wrong they aren't going to list him.

I will let you know more when he has his DRs appointment in Feb!
